Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
At PicPortal, your privacy is our top priority. We believe photo management should happen on your device, not on our servers. This policy explains exactly what we do and don't collect.
Summary
- We do not collect or transmit your photos
- All processing happens locally on your device
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking
- We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information
- The only data stored is your subscription status and app preferences
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Photos
PicPortal accesses your photo library (via the iOS Photos framework) to display and manage your images. All photo processing happens on-device. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service.
1.2 Subscription Data
When you purchase a subscription, Apple's App Store processes the transaction. We receive only a verification of your subscription status from StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information, which is handled entirely by Apple.
1.3 App Preferences
We store minimal settings locally on your device, such as your preferred language and free delete session count. This data never leaves your device.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Your photos or photo metadata (EXIF data, locations, etc.)
- Your Apple ID, email, or payment details
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- Usage data, analytics, or crash reports
- Location data
- Any personal identifiable information (PII)
3. How We Use Information
Since we collect almost no information, there is very little to use. The local data stored on your device is used solely to:
- Maintain your subscription status
- Track remaining free delete sessions
- Remember your language preference
4. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults
- We do not maintain a database of user information
- Your data is protected by iOS security features
- We cannot access or retrieve your data if your device is lost or stolen
5. Third-Party Services
PicPortal uses the following Apple-provided services:
- StoreKit — for subscription management and receipt verification
- Photos framework — for accessing your photo library
- SKStoreReviewController — for requesting App Store reviews
These are Apple's native frameworks and operate according to Apple's privacy policies.
6. Children's Privacy
PicPortal is not designed for or intended to be used by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you within the app if the changes are significant.
